The OSCP board will be meeting on Nov 25th to discuss OSCP business. On the agenda are a number of issues. This year we will have to make a few changes to the bylaw (s). One change will be aligning the CSCP representative with the new 3 year term that has been just passed by the CSCP. Another discussion will be moving the AGM from September to another date possibly early spring (May) with the option of having a major meeting (over Friday, Saturday and Sunday) every 2 years. I know this has been discussed at the AGM in Kingston but I would like to get a general consensus of how you the membership feel about this. There are many reasons to move the AGM to the spring. It is certainly a less busy time than September and for that reason alone we may be able to get more members to attend and become involved. We, the board, welcome your comments on this matter and encourage you share your thoughts - if not in this forum - to me directly as the President of the OSCP.

Work is currently underway to bring the OSCP membership a memoriable meeting again this year. We have 4 presentations, after which, everyone at the meeting is invited by Maquet-Dynamed for a get together over some cocktails, pub grub, and shoot some pool (among other things). Saturday will be the AGM for members and lunch followed by the afternoon presentations kickoff. If you have a presentation that you would like to give drop me a line before all the spots are gone!

To further follow-up on the Hotels. Trilllium has a corporate rate at both. Novotel is $25 off the posted rate. It is close to square one shopping centre. Waterside Inn $189.00 for a standard room (separate bedroom with queen bed, full kitchen, bath and balcony), $229 for Deluxe Rooms.Breakfast is included in the rate. This hotel is basically located downtown on Lake Ontario. Just mention that you are attending the meeting at Trillium and they will give you the rate. If there are any problems let me know.

Also for an FYI Sept 11-13 is the Southside Shuffle: The 11th Annual Port Credit Blues and Jazz Festival. For those of you that maybe interested use the following link: http://www.southsideshuffle.com/

I will also try to arrange for a golf game Friday morning if there is enough interest so please email me and let me know if you are and I will hook us up with a very nice course that is nearby.
