Dialysis membranes for CPB
Submitted by s2cpc on Thu, 11/01/2007 - 14:52.
I am just curious to find out which hemodialysis membranes people are using.
We are using the Fresenius F50S. Please post the device you are using and which solution you run counter current. We use Dianeal for Peritoneal Dialsyis. You can contact me directly at scampbell@smgh.ca or post on the site to share with everyone.

Do you use the same membrane as you do for ultrafiltration?
We use the Jostra BC140 Plus. We use dianeal. My option, howerver, is that hemodyalisys on pump is about as useless as putting out a fire with a glass of water.
Unless you can carefully match your flowrates, I don't think a lot of electrolytes have the opportunity to make their way through.
No, we use the Jostra BC20 and BC40 for ultrafiltration and the Fresenius F50S for dialysis. I remember Sunnybrook used something different and was hoping someone would post from there.
