Why be a member of the OSCP?

Under the RHPA (1994) all unregulated health professionals in Ontario must receive delegation of all Controlled Acts performed on patients by means of the process established (1994) by the OSCP and CPSO (College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario).

Criteria for this delegation includes: a) letter of delegation from the Cardiac Surgical Chief of the institution by which you are employed, b) a copy of up-to-date (2019-2022) policies and procedures maintained by the Perfusion department in which you work, c) professional membership with the OSCP, the provincial professional body.
